Official 2024 Evening Team Tournament Series Rules

The following rules will remain in effect with COVID-19 restrictions and social distancing for the 2024 Tournament Season. Interpretation of the rules will be defined and enforced exclusively by the Tournament Director. Each participant agrees to immediately report any and all rule violations to the Tournament Director. A rule violation can result in sanctions deemed appropriate by the Tournament Director including to but not limited to disqualifications, forfeiture of prizes, and prohibition from participation in any and or all Victory Fishing Events. Decisions of the Tournament Director are final in all matters and are not subject to appeal, and are not reviewable in any court of law. Victory Fishing Events reserves the right to make needed changes to these rules to ensure the safety and welfare of the participants and or the public, also to preserve the integrity of Victory Fishing Events. It is the responsibility of every participant to read and understand the rules. All participants will be required to sign an affidavit that the rules have been read, understood, and that the participant accepts all the rules. The Tournament Director reserves the right to place an observer in the boat of any participant at any time.

Participation is open to current Victory Fishing Events members. Anyone who has competed as a pro in the FLW Majors, MLF, Bass Master Elite Series, N.P.F.L or that has entered a tournament that required an entry Fee of $2500 or more in the past twelve months, or has guided for Largemouth, Smallmouth, or Spotted Bass on the lake the Tournament is being held on in the past twelve months is not eligible to participate. Anyone who has been disqualified from a Victory Fishing Event or other Fishing organization that has resulted from an unexplained rule violation that questions the honesty, integrity, Character, or eligibility of a participant will be left to the tournament director’s sole and absolute discretion. Victory Fishing Events reserves the right to refuse membership and participation for any reason in any and all events to any team or person at the discretion of the Tournament Director.

All participants must have a valid State Fishing License and must obey all Federal, State, and Lake specific regulations.

All Bridges (marked or Unmarked) are considred "NO WAKE ZONES" Do not run on plane under any bridge.

A team will consist of one or two participant anglers only. Each participant will accumulate qualifying points to determine the Angler of The Lake and Championship Tournament qualification.

Each participant will receive 5 show points by fishing and entering a 2024 Evening Tournament Series Event plus one point per pound of bass caught by their team in a 2024 Evening Tournament Series Event. The participant that accumulates the most points of the year during each specific Evening Tournament Series in the 2024 season will receive a free team entry award into the 2024 RAD-Rides Victory Fishing Events Grand Championship Tournament. One participant from each season's Evening Tournament Series will receive this award. Participants can fish in multiple Evening Tournament Series Events to meet the Grand Championship qualifying point requirements, but the free entry awards will be based on points accumulated during one specific Evening Tournament Series. A participant must accumulate 100 points during the 2024 season to qualify for the 2024 RAD-Rides Victory Fishing Events Grand Championship or finish in the top 50% points standings during a specific 2024 Evening Tournament Series. The specific 2024 Evening Tournament Series are: 1.) Tuesday Evening Series on Ray Hubbard, 2.) Wednesday Evening Series on Joe Pool, & 3.) Thursday Evening Series on Tawakoni.

Running lights must be illuminated from sunset until the tournament is over.

Participants must be a current member, register, and pay the cash entry fee prior to fishing in any Evening Tournament Series event.

Participants asked to submit to truth verification testing must take the polygraph test when asked and pass the test to qualify for prizes.

On Ray Hubbard, Joe Pool, & Tawakoni the tournament fishing hours are 6:00pm until 9:30pm, unless otherwise specified for a specific tournament. Each Team must have their number placed in the official number collection bucket by 9:30pm to qualify for weigh-in. The official bucket will be at the weigh in site and removed at 9:30pm sharp! No exceptions. One Team Participant must be in the weigh-in line by 10:00pm. Weigh-in will continue until all contestants in line have been weighed. If no one is in the official weigh in line and it is 10:00pm the scales will be closed. (On Ray Hubbard, Joe Pool, Tawakoni, & Lavon the start fishing time is 6:00pm!)

Teams may weigh-in only 5 fish. One of the five fish can be weighed for the Big Bass prize. (See: Joe Pool Special regulations) A boat used during the Tournament must be equipped with a properly aerated live well. Do not enter weigh-in line with more than five fish. (No Culling in line) A team can only bring five fish to the weigh-in line. All fish will be measured on an official Check It Stick measuring board on its side with mouth closed; the tail fin will be squeezed together and or turned in a way to obtain the maximum overall length as described in the 2022-2023 Texas Parks and Wildlife Outdoor Annual Hunting and fishing Regulations.

  • This is a catch and release tournament. The use of Sure-Life catch and release formulas are recommended. All live fish will be released back into the lake at the weigh in site. All participants must do everything they can to preserve the resource.
  • Participants are not allowed to in any way to alter the length of a fish.
  • Tail clipping will not be allowed and any fish turned in for weigh-in will be examined by any means necessary to deem any presented fish as unaltered.
  • Fish must be brought to weigh-in a tournament weigh-in bag.
  • A 1 lb. Penalty will be assessed for each dead fish weighed in on Ray Hubbard, & Tawakoni. No culling of a dead fish! If a fish dies while in your possession it becomes part of your team's five fish to be weighed in. Do not throw a dead fish back into the lake during the tournament or at the weigh in site. Remedy it in accordance with state regulations. (No dead fish will be weighed on Joe Pool Lake)
  • Black Bass, Kentucky Spotted Bass, and Small Mouth Bass only qualify for weigh-in.

No alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs will be allowed during the tournament. Participants must be of sound mind and not be under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs immediately prior to or during the tournament. The use of alcoholic beverages is restricted during all ceremonies and are not to be consumed at the tournament site.

We will maintain a family friendly environment. Profanity, heckling, and aggressive gestures will not be tolerated and sportsmanlike conduct will be expected by every participant.

All participants in the boat must be a team member and entered in the tournament. Participants must wear a U.S. Coast Guard approved life vest fastened and or zipped with an emergency shut off devise securely attached to the driver when the big motor is running. Safe boating practices must be used by all participants. Any boat used in the tournament must meet all coast guard regulations, have the required safety equipment, have a rating plate, and not exceeding the established horse power rating.

Participants must fish from their entered boat. No wading, inner tubes, or dock fishing. Do not leave boat to land a fish. Participants are required to keep both feet on the deck surface of their boat while fishing or landing a fish. A participant may leave the boat at a recognized facility to take a rest room break or to resolve an emergency situation. No fishing will be allowed until the complete team is back in the boat. If a participant leaves the boat for any reason the occurrence must be reported to the Tournament Director prior to the published tournament end time.

Fishing is allowed only on the designated Tournament Lake. Navigable waters are those waters not seperated by land, a dam, or embankment and can be accessed from the main lake area of the Tournament Lake by the boat used in the tournament under the power of the trolling motor, outboard, or hand assist tools from within the boat. (No getting out of the boat to push a boat into or out of any area!)

Participants must not enter any boats keep out bouyed area's. You may cast into or across a boat keep out bouyed area but participants cannot allow their boat to cross into the keep out area. Please stay back far enough to prevent your boat position from being brought into question.

The use of mobile communication devices such as cell phones, marine radios, walkie talkies, and citizen band radios to communicate fishing information during tournament hours is strictly prohibited.

No fishing within 50 feet of another entered boat. Having someone hold or sit on a hole in an attempt to allow a participant to gain an unfair advantage will not be tolerated. Be very courteous to all others on the lake. Do not cut anyone off or pass them on plane in narrow areas.

All fish must be caught on artificial lures. No live or prepared bait except pork rinds and spray fish attractants. Participants may possess as many rod and reel set ups they deem necessary. Each Participant may only use one rod and reel at a time. A rod and reel set up must be completely reeled in with the lure out of the water before another rod and reel set up can be used to continue fishing. No trolling of lures with the big motor.

The lake designated for that evening’s tournament will be off limits to fishing and on the water lake touring from midnight the day of tournament until the designated start of the tournament. A team using a alternate lauch location prior to the tournament may only get on the lake with his boat no earlier than 4:45pm on tournament day, then participants must immediately proceed to the registration location to register. Participants must Follow the directions for the particular type of start used specific to each lake. Participants cannot start fishing until the official start time. (NO EXCEPTIONS) The official time will be regulated by an electronic devise showing the official time in our time zone and will be available for comparison at the weigh-in site. The Lake specific series tournaments will not have a shot gun start and contestants must clear the no wake zones and allow any boat near them to clear 100 feet distance before taking off. The Tournament Director reserves the right to implement a numbered start at any time or to allow trailering as a result of weather or safety concerns.

All ties will be broken by adding places and splitting equally.

Registration will be from 4:45pm until 6:15pm on Ray Hubbard, Joe Pool, Tawakoni, & Lavon.

Description of the Super Bass: A separate Super Bass Pot will accumulate specific to each 2024 Evening Tournament Series until a qualifying team catches a Bass at or larger than the specified Super Bass size for that lake. If two or more fish over the designated Super Bass are caught by two different qualified teams during the same tournament 60% will go to the largest fish and 40% to the next largest fish. The pot will then start over. With the exception of the first two tournaments one participant of the team must have entered the Super Bass option consecutively one week prior to collect the entire pot. If the team does not meet these criteria they can only collect ½ of the pot and the remaining amount will begin a new pot. Any funds remaining in the pot at the end of the tournament season will be paid out to the biggest Bass caught during the last scheduled event of those participants who have entered in the Super Bass Option at least 10 times during a specific Evening Tournament Series in the 2023 season at the last tournament to be held on the last scheduled weekly event prior to daylight savings time ending. The remaining funds will be split 50% to the biggest Bass, 30% to second largest, and 20% to third largest.

Description of the Optional Bonus: A separate stringer pot will accumulate based on the number of entries and will be paid back at 100% to the highest finishing teams that have paid and entered into the optional bonus. 0-15 Bonus Entries one Place, 16-25 Bonus Entries two places, 26-35 Bonus Entries three places, 36-45 Bonus Entries four places, 46-55 Bonus Entries five places, & 56+ Bonus Entries six places.

On Ray Hubbard Lake, Tawakoni Lake, & Lavon Lake all Bass must be at least 14 inches in length to qualify for weigh in. The Super Bass must be 8 1/2 lbs. or larger to qualify. Only Bring five Bass to the scales no culling in line!

Special slot lake weigh in rules on Joe Pool Lake a four fish stringer will consist of live Black Bass 14” and under. You can weigh in a live Black Bass 21” or over but it will not be added to the stringer weight. If no Black Bass 21” or over is weighed in the largest 14” and under will be awarded the Big Bass Prize. The Big Bass and Super Bass will be awarded separate from the stringer. If a Black Bass 21” or over is caught, this Bass can be weighed separately for the Big Bass and or the Super Bass Prize. Teams can bring four Black Bass 14” and smaller to the scales and one Black Bass 21” or over to the scales. (Do not bring five unders to the scale-No Culling in line!) If you have a fish that is close you can bring the individual fish in question to the weigh-in for a courtesy measure and then return with no more than four unders and one over for weigh-in. Excerpt from 2023-2024 TPDW Outdoor Annual: (Joe Pool) "Bass 8 - For largemouth bass, length limit is a 14–21 slot. Bass 14 inches and less or 21 inches or greater in length may be retained. Only one bass 21 inches or greater may be retained each day" The Super Bass must be 8lbs. or larger to qualify. Special slot lake entry requirement only on Joe Pool: A two participant team entry will be $70 and a single participant team entry will be $35. (On all other lakes the two participant or single participant team entry will remain at $70) The optional Super Bass Entry will be $10 for a two or single participant team. The optional Side Pot Entry will be $20 for a two or single participant team. On Joe Pool five dollars from each entry will be retained for additional pay out at the Joe Pool extra pay event on Sunday 10/6/24. Participants will be required to have earned at least 60 points to qualify for the extra pay event on Joe Pool. Total Series Year to date points for 2024 will determine the 2024 RAD-Rides Victory Fishing Events Grand Championship qualification & angler of the year on Joe Pool. Host Marina: Lynn Creek Marina & ramp are off-limits to fishing during tournament hours. Diagram of Marina off-limits will be posted at registration. Do not fish in the Marina Off limits area. Do not enter any restricted area-stay outside of any restricted bouyed area to include bouyed swim beaches!

Failure to participate in the numbered start & live well check will result in immedite disqualification.

Tawakoni: Numbered start & live well check will begin just prior to 6pm boats. When participants drawn boat number is called, participant idles their boat by the tournament director, with life jackets on & fastened, kill switch attached, and had their open live well checked participant can start leaving the ramp/marina area to go to their fishing areas and begin fishing at 6:00pm. Failure to participate in the numbered start & live well check will result in immedite disqualification.

Lavon: Numbered start/live well check will begin just prior 6pm. When participants drawn boat number is called, participant idles their boat by the tournament director, with life jackets on & fastened, kill switch attached, and had their open live well checked participant can start leaving the ramp/marina area to go to their fishing areas and begin fishing at 6:00pm. Failure to participate in the numbered start & live well check will result in immedite disqualification.

If the Tournament Director allows trailering as a result of weather or safety concerns instructions will be given upon registration.

ADDED COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING GUIDELINES!

Safety will be a top priority to make sure we can have a fun and safe environment for everyone.  Please do not group up and maintain the recommended 6 feet Covid-19 social distancing guidelines. Although it is not mandatory as a safety precaution you can wear a mask, buff, or other face covering.

I hereby agree to be bound by and comply with all tournament, federal, & state rules and regulations. I expressly assume all risk(s) associated with each tournament event and I hereby release Victory Fishing Events, the host, all sponsors, and tournaments officials, but not limited to each of their respective employees, officers, directors, managers, members, insurers and representatives (collectively “releases”) from all claims or injury and/or damage arising out of, or related to and/or incurred in connection with a Victory Fishing Events sponsored event(s). I hereby agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Releasees from and against any and all demands, claims, causes of action, (including, but not limited to, causes of action in contract, tort, strict liability or otherwise, and specifically including, but not limited to, any claim of negligence and/or fault of participation in any Victory Fishing Events sponsored event. I hereby grant Victory Fishing Events, the unconditional, royalty free, perpetual right and license to use my name, voice, and photographic likeness
in connection with Victory Fishing Events promotions, videos, television commercials, shows, and/or articles and press releases. I further understand and agree the tournament director reserves the right to reject my application for any reason. By signing this application I agree to submit to any truth verification testing required by Victory Fishing Events, and provided by a polygraph test selected by Victory Fishing Events, and agree with the outcome of any such testing shall be final and binding. I agree that I have sufficient health, accident, and liability insurance to cover any bodily injury or property damage incurred by myself or others as a result of my participation in any Victory Fishing Events sponsored event. If I have no such insurance, I declare that I am capable of paying for any and all such expenses or liability. I understand that I am responsible for paying all local, state, and federal taxes, title, license, and registration as a result of my participation in any Victory Fishing Events sponsored event. I agree that sole and exclusive venue for the determination of any claim or controversy arising out of or related to any Victory Fishing
Events sponsored events shall be in the State District Court, Rockwall County, Texas where the principal office of Victory Fishing Events is located. Should it become necessary for Victory Fishing Events or any Releasees to incur attorney’s fees and costs to enforce this release. I agree to pay the attorney’s fees thereby expended, or for which liability is incurred. If this is a team event, I agree that my partner participant, If absent from signing this Release, understands all statements, rules, and regulations stated above and has given me express permission to sign on his behalf. By signing this Release, I am stating that my partner participant and I both agree to these terms.

 

  • I have known Larry for many years. I have fished the Tuesday Night Working Man’s Tournament on Lake Ray Hubbard, of which he created and has been Tournament director. He runs a reliable and ethical tournament and I am looking forward to fishing in his new events.
